Photography Business Cards

One of the things to think about when looking into getting creative business cards designed to represent your business will be using a photograph. Many people have the opinion that a photo will take away the attention from your card and others say that a photo will make a huge impact on your designer business cards. In this post I wanted to talk about some tips and tricks for using or not using photos when it comes to making business cards that include photography placed in them.

One thing to consider is what kind of industry you are in? Medical, automotive, dental, massage therapy, American, Christian business card, or whatever? This may help you decide if photography business cards are right for you. I would recommend that most industries could use a photo effectively but it all depends on what image you choose to represent your business and if it is appropriate for that field.

If you do decide to go with photography business cards then I would recommend that you print 2 sided business cards. This way you can have 1 side with just the information like name, URL, address, etc and then on the back side of your double sided business cards you can put the photo and maybe some minimal text. This makes a huge impact!

One thing to remember if you do decide to use images on your creative business cards is you’re going to want the image to be at least 300dpi or it will not come out clear when you print it. What this means is that many images that you find on the internet might not be high enough quality for photography business cards because photos on the net are usually 72dpi in resolution which means they are fine for computer screens but not clear if you print them.
